People are complex. A person is not a disorder, a disease, or a diagnosis. Therapy can be valuable for everyone, particularly at times of intense change, loss, or personal trauma. With expertise in both psychopharmacology and individual psychotherapy, Helios’s providers maintain a patient centered, integrative approach to treating the whole person. Helios’s therapeutic approach combines principles from psychoanalysis, attachment theory and developmental psychology.
Helios’s providers are experienced in treating a range of conditions, including:
Helios Wellness is where traditional medicine meets holistic, patient-guided care. Helios offers a range of progressive therapies, designed to fit the treatment needs of the individual. Patients experiencing treatment resistant depression may, for example, explore Ketamine assisted psychotherapy, a new and promising treatment modality. Research, including a paper soon to be published by Dr. Dore and team, has shown that Ketamine, which is among the safest anesthetics in use worldwide, alleviates depression and anxiety in both the severely mentally ill, and interestingly, older patients. At Helios, we focus on finding the right dose and delivery method for each individual, rather than taking a one-size fits all approach. We’re excited about this treatment option and the potential it holds.
In addition to progress therapies, Helios provides supporting “natural mental health” options, including a range of naturopathic assessments and patient-centered plans. You are invited to explore our naturopathic suite of offerings to support or augment existing treatment strategies at helioswellness.co:
Helios provides a private, supportive therapeutic environment designed to help families and couples in crisis reflect, integrate and progress. Often in times of adversity, we get lost in the heat of our emotions and find it challenging to re-frame, empathize and forgive. Helios’s approach is centered on a systems based, “strengths” focused framework.
Whether you are a couple or a family struggling through a trying period, we hope you will reach out to learn more about the therapeutic and relational strategies and treatments that will help you cope and move forward.
